2) Service Terms (Installations, Quotes & Payments)
2.1. Scope of Work
Our proposals/quotes describe the specific components, locations, and wiring standards. Final placement of lighting fixtures (e.g., eyelid deck lights; dome/surface cabin lights) is design‑driven for safety, glare control, and performance.
2.2. Estimates & Pricing
-
Non‑binding until accepted. Written estimates are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated and may change for access constraints, change requests, or supply changes.
-
Underwater Add‑On: priced separately (additional cost) when selected.
-
Taxes/fees: sales tax and any manufacturer price changes are applied at invoicing.
2.3. Scheduling & Access
-
Install timing: Audio and lighting are installed together in one visit; total time is typically 1–2 days at your marina, coordinated with the yard’s schedule.
-
Customer grants safe access to the vessel and storage keys/codes. The boat must be reasonably clean and accessible (no obstructions in install areas).
-
Weather and access can affect scheduling; we will communicate changes promptly.
2.4. Power & Batteries
We plan amperage per zone. Customer is responsible for battery health/charging capacity unless separately quoted. Low‑voltage or failing batteries can damage electronics and are excluded from warranty.
2.5. Deposits & Payments
-
Unless otherwise stated in your quote: 50% deposit due at scheduling; balance due upon completion.
-
Accepted payment methods may include card, ACH, or check (details on invoice).
-
Late balances may accrue a 1.5% monthly finance charge (or the maximum permitted by law), and we may suspend further work/warranty service until paid.
2.6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
-
Customer cancellations within 72 hours of install start may forfeit scheduling fees or incur restocking charges for special‑order parts.
-
Rescheduling is allowed subject to availability; please provide as much notice as possible.
2.7. Changes & Extras
Change requests must be approved in writing. Additional parts/labor will be billed at the quoted or standard rates.
2.8. Customer Responsibilities
-
Remove personal items from install zones.
-
Disclose prior wiring or aftermarket equipment.
-
Ensure legal compliance for any requested modifications.
2.9. Risk of Loss; Existing Conditions
We take care to protect your vessel. We are not responsible for pre‑existing conditions or hidden defects (e.g., rot, prior wiring faults, water damage) that increase labor or require remediation. If discovered, we will discuss options/pricing before proceeding.
2.10. Photography & Marketing
With your consent, we may photograph before/after results for our portfolio. We will never share personal information without consent.
